This old system was removed after 30 years in service and replaced with a new Dual fuel 16 SEER heat pump coupled with a 95% variable speed furnace.  The Honeywell vision Pro IAQ thermostat was used to control the new system.

This system will cut the homeowners' cooling bill by about 60%, and with the KCPL heat pump electric rate, will more than cut the heating costs of this home in half.  This system was elligible for $850 rebate from KCPL  as part of the Cool Homes Program.  It also qualified the home owner for 30% off the total bill in the form of a tax credit.
